our goals and objectives
Educate Liberia has a few goals that are of the essence when it comes to the sustainability of Liberia’s children. Thus, the Ministry of Education shall hold us accountable for achieving the following goals:
1. Providing a positive, safe, and loving learning environment. Every child shall be afforded the opportunity to learn in a safe and positive learning environment that is free from verbal, physical, and sexual abuse.
· Our program will ensure that students are being taught by loving and caring individuals. Teachers will be trained on how to deal with and respond to students positively.
· Students will be given a hand book in which both they and their parents will be expected to sign. The hand book will cover the do’s and don’ts of our programs. Zero Tolerance will be the order of the day. For offenses described in the hand book, proper reprimands and consequences will be taken.
2. Ensuring that students obtain optimal learning from qualified teachers and counselors.
· Students will be afforded an opportunity to learn from a curriculum that is approved by the board. The curriculum will foster world-class learning and be used in countries that employ best practices as the order of the day.
· Students will have access to learning objectives that foster international objectives and learning goals. They will be exposed to topics in reading, writing, math, Science, and Social Studies. The materials will be taught using manipulatives and real life experiences.
· Students will be provided classes in the visual and performing arts so as to capture their innate behaviors and talents. These visual/performing arts classes will include music, dance, art education and drama.
· The students will be provided vocational training in an area of interest that will enable them to develop a career of themselves. These career pathways will include, but are not limited to: agriculture, sewing, designing, home economics, computers, etc.
· Ensuring Quality Teacher’s Training Program.
· Our team will provide a quality teacher training program aligned with a classroom management component. Instructors will come from all walks of life, hold higher degrees in education, and have experience teaching and working with students, teachers, and parents. Our goal is to educate teachers on how to teach, equip them with best practices initiatives, and teach them how to create effective lesson plans using proper teaching methodologies.
3. Providing community outreach through counseling and outreach programs.
· Educate Liberia is dedicated to assisting families in our communities with homework help, adult literacy programming, etc. We look forward to liasing with the community at large to provide assistance with family planning, Rape/Abuse, Community Support, AIDS education, STDs information, immunization help, and programming/activities that bring the community together. We also encourage our students to volunteer in the community in an effort to give back and earn 10 volunteer hours per year.
4. Developing viable business education program.
· Our community outreach team is committed to finding innovative ways to help educate small businesses, organizations, and individuals within our community both in Liberia and the United States.
